Cafeteria Assistant

Summary:
The Cafeteria Assistant works closely with the Cafeteria Director on a daily basis to accept, store, prepare and distribute breakfast, lunch and snacks during the school year; helps keep the cafeteria clean, sanitized and organized; interacts with students and staff on a daily basis; and is an integral part of our community.
Key Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Assist in the preparation of breakfast, lunch and snacks (most of the meals are delivered packaged fresh each morning)
- Assist in keeping the environment clean, organized and sanitized
- Meet daily with the Cafeteria Director regarding duties
- Follow the state and federal regulations regarding preparing, cleaning, holding, storing and disposing of breakfast, lunch and snacks
- Fulfill professional development requirements
Requirements:
- CORI/SORI and fingerprinting required
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Hours are 7am-2:30pm when school is in session
- Experience working in a food service environment
Preferred:
Servsafe Food Server Certificate
